When asked if WR Julio Jones was going to miss Week 2 against the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn answered firmly in the negative. The Reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week will play in Week 2, listed as probable on the Atlanta Falcons injury report.

Though I do expect better coverage schemes for the Giants than we saw with the Eagles, Jones will likely not have the same numbers in MetLife Stadium this weekend. However, I sense that he will want to outperform New York’s stud wideout Odell Beckham, Jr. in this game.
Jones has shown that he is more than comfortable in Kyle Shanahan’s new offensive scheme. Whether it was a deep vertical strike, a screen pass, or a “I-can’t-believe-that-worked” shovel pass, Julio can and will do it all for the Atlanta Falcons this year.
I see Jones having 7 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown in this game with the New York Football Giants. He does outperform OBD by a good 30 yards or so in this one.
