Georgia Bulldogs: 5 Things Learned From USC Game

Malcolm Mitchell is an All-SEC WR
Malcolm Mitchell was Greyson Lambert’s favorite target last night. Mitchell reeled in 8 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was only a 25 yarder, but he was so incredibly difficult for USC to cover him in the mid-range passing game.

Mitchell now has 210 of Lambert’s 587 passing yards on the season. Malcolm has 15 receptions and a pair of touchdowns as well. In a game where Mitchell was often compared to USC’s strong wideout Pharoh Cooper, Malcolm Mitchell out-received the entire Gamecocks passing attack, 122-84.
Though he was on the Preseason All-SEC 2nd Team at WR, I feel that Malcolm Mitchell’s first three games of 2015 are positioning him to possibly make that All-SEC 1st Team at the season’s end.
With Georgia having the dominating rushing attack and Greyson Lambert finding his new favorite receiving target in Malcolm Mitchell, expect both players to feed off each other to have more consistently strong performances.
