MISSED FIELD GOALS

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had two chances in the first half to get points on manageable field goals. Harrison Butker shanked both kicks, leaving the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with a 13-6 deficit going into the second half.

Though Butker did make an excellent onside kick with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter during the Jackets come-back attempt, those two field goals could have mitigated a lot of the pressure the Jackets offense and defense faced.

Not making field goals also puts more pressure on Head Coach and the Jackets offense. Faced with the prospect of missing field goals, it puts the offense on the field during more fourth down plays. Butker must improve going forward.
