THE O-LINE PLAYED POORLY

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets offensive line did not play well on Saturday against Notre Dame. On the day, the Jackets offense only had 216 yards on the ground — a far cry from the almost 500 they averaged over the first two games of the season.

The Jackets stable of A-backs and B-backs were unable to get anything going against Notre Dame, as Brian VanGorder’s defense successfully took away their ability to create anything. Justin Thomas had no time to pass the ball and was constantly pressured. Going forward, especially against teams like FSU and Clemson, the Tech O-Line must improve in protecting Justin Thomas and in creating space for their backs.
