THE OFFENSE CHOKED ON THE BIG STAGE
Who would have thought that the biggest issue for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday would be its offense? I certainly didn’t expect this. Until essentially the final minute of fourth quarter, Georgia Tech could not get anything going.
QB Justin Thomas did not look comfortable, and the offense struggled to find any seams in the Notre Dame defense. Thomas only rushed for 21 yards on the day. After rushing for almost 500 yards in the first two games of the year, it would be difficult to expect that against a top 10 team like Notre Dame — but still going forward, the Jackets have to find a way to create offense when a defense is prepared for them.
