The Georgia Bulldogs easily handled the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, defeating USC 52-20 Between the Hedges.

Outside of a few teams in the SEC, I would have to honestly say it wasn’t the best week for the Conference in the college football landscape. Though UGA, Ole Miss, and LSU look dominant, teams like Alabama, Auburn and Missouri either lost or looked especially vulnerable.

The SEC has 3 teams in the Top 10 of the AP Top 25, but now only six of the league’s 14 teams sit in the Top 25. Two weeks ago, we saw the Conference set a record with getting 10 schools in the Top 25. However, perception is clearly not reality, especially in college football.

The Ole Miss Rebels skyrocket twelve spots to a tie at number three with TCU after knocking off Alabama on the road. Our Georgia Bulldogs stay put at number seven despite a beatdown at home over USC, 52-20. LSU jumps to number eight as RB Leonard Fournette gave Will Muschamp’s run defense all they could handle and then some.

Alabama falls from two to twelve after their tough home loss to the Rebels. Texas A&M is waiting in the weeds, playing some good football as the #14 team in the country. Missouri survives a near embarrassment at home to UConn to cling on to the final AP Top 25 spot. Auburn falls out of the mix entirely after losing in Death Valley to the Bayou Bengals.

Let’s look at this week’s SEC East power rankings and see 1. did anybody change spots this week? and 2. do we feel good about any team in the East this year besides the Georgia Bulldogs? Let’s do this.
