Entering Week 4, there is no doubt who the presumed favorite to come out of the SEC East is. It’s the Georgia Bulldogs. Their evisceration of the South Carolina Gamecocks cements UGA’s place in the Top 10 of the AP Top 25 and are very much a factor in the College Football Playoff discussion through the first month of the College Football Season.

The Georgia Bulldogs do two things especially well: run the football and play defense. Both are key components in the recipe for the Bulldogs’ success this season. The reason for that is that both the ground game and strong defensive play travel well on the road.
Georgia rarely gets off to fast starts, usually botching a game early on in Conference Play. Momentum is on the Dawgs’ side with QB Greyson Lambert having a record-setting day against the Gamecocks on Saturday, completing 24-25 passes. He broke Mike Bobo’s consecutive completion record at UGA and se a NCAA record for highest in-game completion percentage of at least 20 attempted passes at a 96% clip.
UGA should have a great opportunity to get healthy for the Week 5 affair with Alabama by drawing the Southern Jaguars at home in Week 4. Kickoff Between the Hedges begins at Noon on Saturday, being aired on the SEC Network. Go Dawgs!
