As mentioned before, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are still very much in the driver’s seat for the division crown, as well as an ACC Championship. A loss to Notre Dame hurt, but they were a top 10 team, and the loss has no bearing on their conference aspirations. This game is was a learning experience for Paul Johnson’s team, and he will no doubt have his squad focusing on their weaknesses that were evidenced on Saturday. The Ramblin’ Wreck has another test this coming Saturday, as they travel to Durham to face the Duke Blue Devils

Last week: 22-30 loss at #8 Notre Dame
Last rank: 1st

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets remain atop of this week’s Coastal Power Rankings despite a loss on the road to Notre Dame. The offense fell flat for most of the game, and even though the defense played decently, they still dug themselves a 30-7 hole halfway through the 4th quarter that ultimately proved insurmountable.

The Jackets made a game of the contest, as B-back Patrick Skov recorded two touchdown receptions in the final minute of the 4th quarter, cutting the Irish lead to 30-22. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were unable to recover their final onside kick, giving Notre Dame the victory.
