Georgia Bulldogs: 5 Defensive Players to Watch Vs. Southern
By John Buhler

Davin Bellamy had a great game last year versus FCS Charleston Southern with 6 tackles and a forced fumble on the Buccaneers. I like for Bellamy’s luck against teams with Southern in their name to continue in 2015, the first coming against the Jaguars.

As a RS sophomore, Davin’s role in the Jeremy Pruitt defense is expanding. He is now the 4th OLB in the defensive scheme and gets to play every game in some capacity. It helps that OLB Leonard Floyd can play multiple positions, so that it gives Bellamy more opportunities to shine on the defensive side of the ball.
In Week 4, I like Bellamy to record a sack in a crucial third down situation. He will emerge as the reliable passing rushing rotational piece the Dawgs will need against a strong offensive team like the Alabama Crimson Tide.
I can see Davin Bellamy getting a ton of snaps in this game, especially when the starters on the defense go out at some point in the second half. Look for Bellamy to make the most of his Week 4 opportunities against the Jaguars.
