I think Lorenzo Carter has as big of an impact in Week 4 at outside linebacker as he did against ULM in Week 1. After seeing Carter do a bit of everything for the Dawgs against the Warhawks in the home opener, I have to believe more of that is coming against the Jaguars on Saturday.

Carter will have a monster first half with a pair of sacks, a pass deflection, and forcing a turnover in some capacity, whether that’s a fumble or an interception. He looked great against South Carolina after missing most of the Vanderbilt game due to the targeting penalty ejection midway through the first quarter.
I feel that Lorenzo used that bad penalty as a lesson to never take for granted his opportunities on the field. He is certainly a star in the making for the Georgia Bulldogs, but a mental lapse on a CBS broadcast is very much a humbling experience.
Look for Lorenzo Carter to play a great deal in this game. If Dawg Nation is so lucky, a 2.5 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass deflection performance could get Carter’s name in the conversation for SEC Defensive Player of the Week. Of course, that would imply that he factors in stopping the run as well.
