Even though UGA now has five interceptions on the year defensively, I still like Aaron Davis’ in Week 1 the best. I feel that he made a great read in man coverage on a decently thrown ball, where the others were errant throws by the opposing quarterback.

Davis’ Week 1 pick epitomized great ball skills. In Week 4, I sense that his second interception of 2015 is on the way. Southern will have to move the chains aerially on Saturday, as the run defense of UGA has been much improved over last year’, at least visually.
When the Jaguars look to convert a third and long on a curl route on the outside, guess who know it’s coming: Aaron Davis. The beautiful part of Davis’ play in the defensive backfield is that he sticks to wideouts like glue.
If he can continue to look strong in man coverage, not get burnt, and showcase above average ball skills, he could go from former UGA walk-on to scholarship starter to undrafted NFL free agent to a member of a 53-man roster. The guy has a great student mentality and is playing great ball in Jeremy Pruitt’s defense.
