Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch Vs. Dallas
By John Buhler
Ryan Schraeder has looked great at right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons these first two weeks. He and left tackle Jake Matthews have performed wonderfully in setting the edge for the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive line.
Throughout the preseason, most of the Atlanta Falcons’ issues on the offensive line came on the interior. We knew that Jake Matthews was going to start at LT and that Ryan Schraeder would likely stick at RT. This became clearer once OT Lamar Holmes went down on the PUP List during training camp.

Through the first two weeks of 2015, Ryan Schraeder has the highest grade of any right tackle in football, according to Pro Football Focus. His strong play is allowing newly acquired OT Jake Long the opportunity to get back into football shape before taking over in what will likely now be a swing tackle role for the Atlanta Falcons.
Dallas’ front seven is one of the best in football. Will Schraeder continue to prove doubters wrong and thrive at right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons? Should he continue to succeed, Atlanta will be better offensively because of it. Should he not, then Jake Long might have to enter the Falcons’ starting lineup earlier than expected.
