Greyson Lambert is a Difference Maker on Offense

I wrote about this last night that Greyson Lambert’s improved accuracy is transforming the Georgia Bulldogs offensively. He has great pocket awareness and uses his height (6’5″) to make the best throw possible every snap in OC Brian Schottenheimer’s offense.

When he came to UGA this summer, who would have thought that Greyson Lambert would become a Top 3 passer in the SEC? Yes, I feel that entering Week 5 Lambert is in the same discussion with Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott and Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly. Tennessee’s Joshua Dobbs and Kentucky’s Patrick Towles round out my Top 5. I still have to see more out of Texas A&M’s Kyle Allen.

With Lambert’s inherent comfort in Schottenheimer’s offense, the Georgia Bulldogs are on their way to having one of the most prolific, well-rounded offenses in the country in 2015. It seems like each week in the offensive system, Lambert is finding a new reliable target to throw the ball to.

He has a great rapport with WR Malcolm Mitchell and RB Sony Michel. I feel that the connections with TE Jeb Blazevich and WR Reggie Davis are the next two to fall in place for Lambert in the UGA passing game.

By Greyson Lambert playing at a higher level than expected, the Georgia Bulldogs now have more abilities to make plays in space for Schotty. We’re not a Power I team anymore that force feeds Nick Chubb the rock. UGA can attack opponents aerially with the Baylor’s and UCLA’s of the football world with Greyson Lambert under center.
