The Secondary Can Handle Anybody
What I like the most about Jeremy Pruitt’s defensive scheme is that the secondary by about Week 3 or 4 will have it figured out and will prevent opponents from moving the chains with great regularity through the air.

Pruitt refuses to let his secondary to give up the deep ball and would rather let the other team’s offense dink and dunk their way up the field. What has made that philosophy null and void for most offensive attacks is that UGA is wrapping up receivers to allow little to nothing after the catch.
Dominick Sanders is playing an inspired brand of football in the secondary as the unit’s new leader. Quincy Mauger played with great ferocity in Week 4. Hopefully that will carry throughout the rest of the season. Malkom Parrish is one of the hardest hitting defensive backs I’ve seen at UGA in years. Even Leonard Floyd looks comfortable in his new position at STAR.
Yes, the Dawgs will finally be tested when the Tide roll into Athens next Saturday, but I’m loving this Jeremy Pruitt defense in 2015, especially in the secondary. Let’s hope that Pruitt has a few more disguises that his former employers in Tuscaloosa don’t know about.
