TED ROOF’S DEFENSE PLAYED WELL

For the second consecutive week, Ted Roof’s defense was not at fault for a loss. Actually, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defense played rather well. On a couple of drives they were put in a difficult spot because of the special teams, as Duke had a short field to work with , but limited the Blue Devils to only 1 offensive touchdown in the second half — a 30 yard run by Shaquille Powell with under 2 minutes left that iced the game for Duke.

The Jackets defense seems improved this season, and did well limiting QB Thomas Sirk on Saturday. If the offense and special teams can get their act together, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets once again become a dangerous all-around team.
