The #8 Georgia Bulldogs will host the #13 Alabama Crimson Tide at Sanford Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 PM ET as part of the CBS SEC Game of the Week.

Dawg Nation has had this date, October 3rd, circled on the calendar for months now. After two excruciatingly painful losses to Alabama the last two meetings, is it time for Mark Richt’s Dawgs to finally get the best of Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide?

For this to happen, Georgia will need to win the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. It will be a major test for an up-and-coming defense of Jeremy Pruitt. However, should the Dawgs pound the rock to open up the pass, I like the Georgia Bulldogs’ chances to not only compete, but win this game outright.

With Greyson Lambert’s emergence as a Top 5 passer in the SEC, the UGA offensive attack looks like one of the most balanced in College Football. Having a QB that doesn’t miss his intended target to complement the “bowel shaking earthquakes of monster truck force” that is the UGA RB corps makes it certainly possible that the Dawgs can go The Distance in this game. Will it be a piece of Cake?

As much as we want the defense to keep playing at an elite level for the Georgia Bulldogs, it’s going to come down to the offense in this one. Will UGA have enough fortitude when they are possessing the football to unravel Kirby Smart’s Alabama defense? Here are the five guys on offense I have my eye on in this Clash of the Titans being played out Between the Hedges on Saturday, October 3rd.
