We’re Georgia. We knew this was happening at some point, we just didn’t want to believe it. Every year, without fail, the Georgia Bulldogs will circle on their schedule and not show up for it. Hopefully this was to only letdown game for the Dawgs this season.

Georgia had an opportunity in this game to prove to the college football world that UGA was ready to contend for a College Football Playoff berth. A win over Alabama would have catapulted the Georgia Bulldogs into the Top 5 of the AP Poll. Now, we’re looking at somewhere in the mid-to-low teens entering Week 6. Alabama will find themselves in the Top 10 without question.

Old Dawgs can’t learn new tricks. It’s now a part of the Georgia Bulldogs culture to lose a game before Halloween annually. Can UGA still play in a meaningful bowl game? Sure, but our Playoff chances just got a lot a slimmer after being wiped the Tide at home in Week 5.
