If there was any consolation prize from this evisceration, it was that Nick Chubb broke his tie with Herschel Walker by rushing for over 100 yards in 13 consecutive games. I wasn’t sure that Chubb would get there in this game, but his 83-yard touchdown run in garbage time broke the record and kept the streak alive.
Nick Chubb is still very much in the Doak Walker/Heisman discussion, but we may have to put Alabama’s RB Derrick Henry in those conversations now with Leonard Fournette. Chubb may not win the Heisman in 2015 should UGA lose again, but at least we have him for one more year at least.
Even though it stinks, maybe this loss was the best thing to happen to the 2015 Georgia Bulldogs. Hopefully HC Mark Richt can get his guys to rally and go 7-0 in the remaining games of the regular season. In Chubb we trust. Go Dawgs!
