Tennessee has to win in Week 6 before the Volunteers go into absolute panic mode. Unfortunately, the Vols will have to go against a Georgia Bulldogs team fighting for their Playoff lives. UT hasn’t beaten UGA since 2009. Would a victory over the #19 Georgia Bulldogs even be a signature win for UT HC Butch Jones? He desperately needs one.
Starting the year out 2-4 (0-3) could become the first nails in the Butch Jones coffin. Would UT be on their fourth coach in a decade? This team has too much talent not to win six games and become bowl eligible. We’re looking at a possible five-game losing streak for the Vols (Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky) and that’s assuming UT beats USC on November 7th.
Their back-end of their schedule could get them to 6-6 (USC, North Texas, @Missouri, Vanderbilt), but this isn’t the 9-3 team we thought the Tennessee Volunteers would look like in 2015. Jones has to win on Saturday to keep his job at the end of the year. Unfortunately for Tennessee, the Georgia Bulldogs are the superior team in Week 6.

Missouri bounced back in Week 5 with a victory over rival South Carolina in the Battle of Columbia, 24-10. HC Gary Pinkel had to reluctantly start a true freshman at QB in Drew Lock, since incumbent Maty Mauk received a suspension before the USC game.
The next stud on defense for Mizzou is Walter Brady. Whether he was getting sacks or forcing turnovers, Brady was everywhere in Week 5 for the Tigers. Because Mizzou has a strong established culture on their coaching, I think the Tigers can survive QB turmoil and stay relevant in 2015. I see Mizzou as an 8-4, 9-3 team. They will have their hands full when they take on the #11 Florida Gators at home on Saturday. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM ET on the SEC Network.
