After his defense let up 38 points to Alabama, don’t think for a second that senior OLB Jordan Jenkins didn’t take it personally. I feel that Jenkins will put this loss up their with one of the most painful in his UGA career. He has previously mentioned the 2013 Missouri Game, the 2013 Vanderbilt Game, and the 2014 Florida Game.
Jenkins will have to play well on Saturday against a solid rushing attack in Tennessee. Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara provide UT with a solid one-two punch at tailback. Let’s not forget that their starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs can run very well should the pocket collapse or the play break down.
The Georgia Bulldogs will need to slow down the ground game against the Volunteers and force them into 3rd and long passing situations. Should Jenkins and the rest of the UGA defense do that, UT could be in for a long afternoon, as the Dawgs rebound in glorious fashion on the defensive side of the ball. Look for Jordan Jenkins to ignite the spark on defense in Week 6 for Georgia.
