The Atlanta Falcons have another come from behind victory to move to 5-0 after beating Washington, 25-19.
This team should not have won this game today. When your starting quarterback commits three turnovers (2 interceptions and 1 fumble), that usually means your defense will have to play spectacular for your team to even stand a chance at winning.

The best offensive line in football entering Week 5 according to Pro Football Focus had a difficult time with the Washington pass rush. The passing game couldn’t get into a rhythm duration the first three quarters of regulation. Hats off to the Redskins’ defense. They’re playing outstanding ball for new DC Joe Barry.

Well, the Atlanta Falcons are also playing great defense for their HC Dan Quinn and DC Richard Smith. We’re not the Legion of Boom, we’re not the Iron Curtain, we’re not even Grits Blitz yet, but something special is brewing in Atlanta this season on the defensive side of the football.
Though the passing game was lukewarm on Sunday for Matt Ryan and company, the running game continues to thrive in OC Kyle Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme. The Atlanta Falcons made many mistakes on Sunday and still came away victorious to move to 5-0. Here are five big takeaways I drew from the Falcons’ 25-19 overtime victory over the Redskins.
