BATTLE OF DYNAMIC POINT GUARDS

The similarities between the San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks go even further than the two head coaches, as both teams possess dynamic, All-Star point guards with similar skill-sets in Tony Parker and Jeff Teague. Both starting guards rely heavily on penetration and getting to the basket, while also possessing an effective, if not impressive outside shot.

Teague and Parker are the catalysts for both the Spurs and Hawks offenses, and as they go, so do their teams. This preseason, Jeff Teague has looked like he is in midseason form already. With Tony Parker defending, Jeff Teague has another opportunity to showcase his elevated game against a Western Conference contender.

Also look out for backup Dennis Schroder, who led the Atlanta Hawks in scoring against New Orleans on Friday. The 3rd-year guard looks to continue his impressive play on Wednesday. Expect to see Mike Budenholzer pair both Teague and Schroder in a two-guard lineup against the Spurs.
