Kentucky didn’t do themselves any favors by dropping a night game at their place on Thursday to Auburn, 30-27. With two SEC losses, Kentucky has a slim chance to win the SEC East for the first time in school history. A third loss to either Mississippi State or Georgia would be the nail in the coffin for UK this fall.
Essentially, Kentucky cannot drop any of their next three games (@Mississippi State, Tennessee, @Georgia) if they want to stay in the SEC East hunt. This team will make a bowl game, but this may only be a 7-5 team in 2015. Mark Stoops is building a great program in Lexington, but may need one more year before the Wildcats are ready to contend in the SEC East.
Kentucky faces inter-division rival Mississippi State in Starkville on Saturday. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM ET on the SEC Network.

Despite not scoring a touchdown on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs had themselves a decent Week 7. They enter their bye with only two losses and should UGA beat Florida in Jacksonville, the Dawgs would take control of the SEC East, owning the tiebreaker over Florida.
However, the Georgia Bulldogs need to devise an offensive game plan to attack the strong Florida defense on Halloween. If it boils down to a defensive game, I’d have to say the Gators are the superior team in that type of game. Then again, Georgia-Florida is a major rivalry game where anything can happen. We could see a 45-42 shootout on Halloween for all we know.
Georgia will have their bye this week before the biggest game of the season down in Jacksonville on Halloween. The Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators’ annual rivalry will air on CBS at 3:30 PM ET on Halloween.
