Malcolm Mitchell enters his final game against the Florida Gators. The RS Senior from Valdosta will likely want to go out on top versus his team’s most hated rival. Regardless of who ends up starting at quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs, OC Brian Schottenheimer can count of Malcolm Mitchell to make plays at wide receiver.
It hasn’t been easy for the receiving corps of the Georgia Bulldogs in 2015. The group for a lack of a better word is young. Bryan McClendon went from coaching the RBs in 2014 to the WRs in 2015, after for WR Coach Tony Ball left for LSU. Even the tight ends haven’t been impressive in Schotty’s system.

The one constant has been the play of Malcolm Mitchell, Greyson Lambert’s favorite target. Mitchell has developed into a well-rounded receiver for UGA. Mitchell seems like a late-round draft pick, mostly because of his injury-riddled past and not because of his obvious talent.
Should UGA strike through the air on a touchdown pass on Saturday, my guess is that Malcolm Mitchell is that recipient. For the Georgia Bulldogs to have the necessary balance on offense versus the Florida Gators, Malcolm Mitchell will likely need to have a big game. I think he comes down with a big touchdown catch in the clutch for us.
