Fredi Gonzalez and the Atlanta Braves are coming off a disappointing campaign in 2015.

After recording the third worst record in the majors, the Atlanta Braves are trying to regain some success going into next season and return to contention. Though Fredi Gonzalez had by far his worst season so far at the helm of the Atlanta Braves, he was signed to an extension in 2015, and has one year left on his contract.

Of course, the New York Mets are coming off a very successful season, which saw them win the NL Pennant and eventually lose in the World Series to the Kansas City Royals. The Washington Nationals, the preseason favorite to win the division, recently made a managerial change, as did the Miami Marlins. The Philadelphia Phillies organization is also in flux, as they have finally made the decision to commence on a long overdue rebuild.

The offseason has already begun, and with it its brought a slew of new talking points to the NL East. But lets put aside the players for a second and look at the new skippers coming into the division and essentially where they rank in terms of past team success and coaching styles.
