Georgia Handled Adversity Well This Week

With all that went on about Mark Richt’s job security, Jeremy Pruitt’s increased frustration, speculation on differing opinions between Greg McGarity and Jere Morehead, the players on the Georgia Bulldogs went out and beat the snot out of Kentucky yesterday.

Georgia has had a tendency to not show up for games at times, but did they show up yesterday. Sure, the passing game was a non-factor, but the ground game got the Dawgs into the end zone for the first time since October 10th. The defense looked as cohesive as they been all year long. I guess it helps when the ringleader of the defense OLB Jordan Jenkins is able to get on the field. He’s been banged up for most of the last month.

What’s frustrating about this program is that games like yesterday’s prove that the Georgia Bulldogs can handle adversity that comes with playing at a major Power 5 program. These distractions of the past week would have certainly derailed several teams across the nation, but the Dawgs prevailed regardless.

Mark Richt silenced the critics, at least temporarily, with his Georgia Bulldogs dominating victory over the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. The next step in getting this program back to good is to beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare. Dawg Nation still hurts from the last time we played in Auburn…
