The Georgia Bulldogs knocked off their SEC West rival in their place Saturday afternoon by beating the Auburn Tigers 20-13 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

It wasn’t looking promising at halftime, as the Georgia Bulldogs’ offense could seem to put points up on the board against a work-in-progress Will Muschamp defense in Auburn. However, UGA can out of have time invigorated and outscored the Tigers 17-3 in the final two quarters.

With that victory, the Georgia Bulldogs move to 7-3 (5-3) on the season with two regular season games and a bowl game remaining in 2015. It seems as if the two consecutive victories over Kentucky and Auburn have put to rest the Mark Richt hot seat rumors, as many of the pitchforks have gone back into their respective tool sheds.

Georgia has had a pleasantly different vibe to them the last two weeks. It’s as if they’ve adopted a new identity after losing their’s in Knoxville on the first play from scrimmage over a month ago. The defense has allowed only 13 combined points in the last two weeks.

HC Mark Richt and OC Brian Schottenheimer are running a conservative, albeit creative running-based offense that seems to have some fluidity to it. I didn’t think going Wildcat would rectify many of the offense’s short comings. Then again, here we are at 7-3 and done with our SEC slate of games in 2015, finishing above .500 without the team’s best player in over a month in RB Nick Chubb.

The Georgia Bulldogs won’t have to leave the Peach State until it’s bowl game. With the 7th win on the year, the UGA program will finish above .500 for the 14th time under Richt’s leadership. Here are four main takeaways from UGA’s win over the Auburn Tigers this afternoon.
