Use the Human Joystick!
In two phases of today’s game, the most important player on the gridiron today was Georgia Bulldogs true sophomore WR/KR Isaiah McKenzie, better known as the Human Joystick. McKenzie had nearly 100 all-purpose yards this afternoon, including a 53-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 4-yard scamper that also went for six points.

Though I-Mac has dealt with hamstring issues among other things this season, he’s simply electric when he is on the field. The Georgia Bulldogs are fortunate to have a playmaker like him, especially since he Committed to the G without ever taking an official visit to Athens. It helps that his best bud at the American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida was none other than UGA RB Sony Michel.
With the troubles that KR Reggie Davis has had with ball security, why isn’t Isaiah McKenzie handling all the Dawgs’ punts? I get that the opposing team’s kicker can aim away from him on kickoffs, but without McKenzie’s punt return for a touchdown today, UGA probably would have lost the game.
While he did let an easy first-down reception hit him right in the chest for an incompletion, I’d love to see him as a bigger part of the new-look Georgia Bulldogs’ offense going forward. McKenzie is the type of athlete that OC Brian Schottenheimer supposedly loves in the slot. If he’s healthy, use him!
