84. player. 44. . WR. UAB. Roddy White

Roddy White has not been a featured part of OC Kyle Shanahan’s offense the first half of the season. White is often the third or fourth read in a progression in Shanahan’s offense. However, he’s been wide open several times the last few weeks and Matt Ryan isn’t delivering him the football for some reason.

I think that changes on Sunday. It won’t take several targets to get White to feel like he’s a part of this game. One reception and he’ll be able to make more plays for the Falcons’ offense down the stretch.

The bye helps everybody on the Atlanta Falcons’ staff, as the players get healthier and the coaches can strategize how to best use their players. Using Roddy White in possession receiving makes too much sense to not deploy on occasion.

Matt Ryan and Kyle Shanahan will have in their game plan a few plays designed for Roddy White. While the offense does plan to feed Julio Jones, I think White corrals 4 catches for 45 yards in this game. Those stats aren’t eye-popping both I envision three of those four catches being crucial in keep Atlanta Falcons’ scoring drives alive. Without them, Atlanta will have had to punt the football and not get points on those possessions.
