Oddly enough, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Northwestern Wildcats have never played each other on the gridiron before. Then again, Northwestern’s football history of being a doormat in the Big Ten is a major reason for these two Power 5 teams to have never met.

However, NU under HC Pat Fitzgerald is a reasonably strong team year after year. The Wildcats are 10-2 (6-2) with a win over Stanford and their only two losses are to Michigan and undefeated Iowa. To me, this potential bowl matchup would stand as the most evenly matched for Georgia.

Since Northwestern has been a Top 25 for most of the year, I’d say they’d enter this hypothetical bowl game as a slight favorite. Besides that these two teams have never played each other, I could see the Georgia Bulldogs playing the Northwestern Wildcats in more than just one bowl site, potentially making this bowl possibility a reality.
