The Atlanta Falcons have lost four straight games. How does the Dirty Birds’ consistent stumbling affected their spot in this week’s NFC Power Rankings?

The Atlanta Falcons have now lost their last four games, but still somehow are in the NFC Wild Card mix at 6-5. There is (almost) no way the Dirty Birds can catch the undefeated Carolina Panthers for the NFC South Division title. One more Carolina win or Atlanta loss and the Panthers all but clinch their third consecutive division crown.

Atlanta fell at home for the third straight time, losing to the NFC North leading Minnesota Vikings, 20-10 Sunday. The Falcons have gone from a surprise Super Bowl Contender to one of the worst teams in the NFL in a matter of weeks. The turnovers on offense are numerous and are hurting all the good work the defense is doing in 2015.

This isn’t a great time in Rise Up Nation, but Atlanta still controls its own playoff destiny and has five games to right the ship. Pun intended, they will have to when they face division rival Tampa Bay for their biggest match of the season. The winner assumes second place in the NFC South and have control of the second NFC Wild Card spot.

Without further ado, here are the NFC Power Rankings a day early to hopefully bring a new start to Week 13. The Atlanta Falcons surely need all the help they can get at this point.
