Atlanta Hawks: Eastern Conference Power Rankings, Dec. 3
By John Buhler
The Atlanta Hawks are 12-9 through their first 21 games of the 2015-16 NBA season. Find out where they sit in this week’s Eastern Conference Power Rankings.
The Atlanta Hawks are coming off a loss at home to the Toronto Raptors, a game that had a 24-point swing in the second half in the Raptors’ favor to beat Atlanta at home, 96-86. While it was nice to see SF DeMarre Carroll return to Philips Arena, the final score wasn’t what Hawks’ fans wanted.
We can blame the brutal start to the Atlanta Hawks’ season as the reason for the club’s middle of the pack level of play, but at times this doesn’t look anything like the team that went 60-22 last year to play in the Easter Conference Finals.
Regardless of how we feel about the front-loaded 2015-16 NBA season schedule of the Atlanta Hawks, I have to believe that an elite NBA team would do better in its first 21 games than 12-9, with four losses at home already.
Atlanta will get the Los Angeles Lakers, arguably the worst team in the NBA, at home on Friday night so maybe that gets the Hawks their 13th win on the year and moves them up in the Eastern Conference Standings from 6th place. Here are this week’s Eastern Conference Power Rankings.
