Atlanta Falcons: NFC Power Rankings, Week 14
By John Buhler
The Washington Redskins still hold the tiebreakers in the weak NFC East and at times look like the best of four mediocre teams in that division. Since they have the easiest remaining schedule in 2015, that should stand as an advantage for the club to make the postseason.
A loss to Dallas didn’t help at all, but it isn’t the end of the world for the Redskins. If this team plays with the type of focus they’ve shown at times in 2015, then Washington could win the division at .500 or worse.
The 2015 Green Bay Packers are too inconsistent to orchestrate a Super Bowl run in 2015, but here they are back in first place in the competitive NFC North. Aaron Rodgers’ hail mary was a thing of beauty and that could spark the Packers down the stretch to win the NFC North.
Recent history is in on Green Bay’s side and that gives them the edge over the Minnesota Vikings to win the NFC North. Like the Seattle Seahawks, the Packers could play Divisional Round spoiler and take either the Arizona Cardinals or the Carolina Panthers’ projected NFC Championship spot.

The Arizona Cardinals have the second longest winning streak in the NFL at six games, tied with the AFC West’s Kansas City Chiefs. Arizona should lock up a playoff spot with another victory and should have a first round bye entering the playoffs.
Arizona is the most complete football team in the NFC and arguably the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals. Anything less than a NFC Championship appearance is coming up short for this team. If the Panthers falter down the stretch, quarterback Carson Palmer may become the league’s MVP over Carolina’s Cam Newton or New England’s Tom Brady.
The Carolina Panthers clinched the NFC South for the third straight season Sunday. They beat the Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on a game-winning touchdown pass from Cam Newton to Jerricho Cotchery. It is possible that the Panthers may not lose a regular season game in 2015.

At 12-0, this team is the toast of the NFL. What Cam Newton is doing for this team has to put him as the league’s MVP. It reminds me so much of his 2010 Heisman Trophy and National Championship winning season at Auburn. With that defense, this team could win its first Super Bowl this season.
