Right Guard: Bill Fralic (1985-92)

Bill Fralic played eight of his nine great years in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons selected Fralic 2nd overall in the 1985 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh. Fralic went on to make four straight Pro Bowls (1986-89) and two straight All-Pros (1986-87) while playing for the Atlanta Falcons.

Fralic played in 116 games, starting all but one of the them, at right guard for the Atlanta Falcons. His career didn’t last as long as other offensive linemen in the organization like Kenn or Van Note, but Bill Fralic for a four-year stretch was one of the league’s best interior offensive linemen.

Guard is a thankless position, but for all eight years in Atlanta, Bill Fralic was one of the best in the NFL at his position. While he only played one year as a teammate with Jeff Van Note, Fralic did spend his entire eight-year career with the Atlanta Falcons on the same offensive line with Mike Kenn.

On this Atlanta Falcons’ All-Time Team, all three fantastic linemen would play together. Fralic, along with Van Note and Blalock would bring about a great interior line that could give Matt Ryan ample time to deliver strikes down field to his many receivers, while being able to open up tremendous holes for Williams Andrews to run through.
