Wide Receiver: Roddy White (2005-Present)
After two underwhelming seasons in Atlanta, wide receiver Roddy White became arguably the best wide receiver in Atlanta Falcons history in 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Roddy White was an annual 1,000 yard receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.
Through Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season, Roddy White has the Atlanta Falcons’ franchise receiving records in yards (10,704), receptions (795), and receiving touchdowns (63). When White decides to hang up the spikes, he will join the Atlanta Falcons Ring of Honor as the greatest wide receiver in franchise history.
The Atlanta Falcons made the playoffs four times with Roddy White on the team and were one of the most prolific passing offenses in football when he was in his prime. White is a four-time Pro Bowler and was a first-team All-Pro in 2010, leading the NFL in receptions that year with 115.
Roddy White has the necessary versatility and the aggressiveness as a wideout to play on the outside as well as possession receive in the slot. In this high-octane, White would serve as the ultimate possession receiver, playing both in the slot and on the outside. He would serve as one of Ryan’s premier third down, two-minute drill targets.
