The Atlanta Hawks have lost three of their last four games and are 4-3 in their last 7. Where do they land in this week’s Eastern Conference Power Rankings?

The Atlanta Hawks enter play Thursday night with a 27-20 record and in third place in the Eastern Conference. While they have played .500 ball in their last 10 games (5-5), they haven’t fluctuated in the East Standings as they would have maybe a few weeks ago.

The tightly packed East has become more defined over the past few weeks, now that teams aren’t going from second to seventh in the conference based on just one loss. Cleveland is still the top dog despite firing head coach David Blatt. Toronto is on fire, Orlando is struggling, and Boston is starting to rise in the standings.

Atlanta has been an improved team defensively the last week or so, holding opponents to under 100 points scored in six of their last seven games. However, Atlanta has only gone 4-3 in those seven games due in part to a sputtering offense.

Even with rumors circulating about Jeff Teague on the trading block and how Al Horford may not re-sign with the Atlanta Hawks next season, the team continues to stand as one of the better teams in the East. Here are this week’s Eastern Conference Power Rankings.
