Mecole Hardman, Jr. has been a player that has had interest in playing for the Georgia Bulldogs for some time now. Hardman grew up in nearby Elberton and made his official visit to the University of Georgia near finals week of the Fall 2015 semester when Jacob Eason was in town from Washington State.

Hardman is reportedly a primary target of Eason’s and it only makes too much sense for the nation’s No. 1 athlete to play collegiately at the University of Georgia. He is the No. 13 player in the country and the No. 3 player in the state. Hardman and Savannah Christian Prep’s Demetris Robertson would provide the Georgia Bulldogs with top-end receiving talent they haven’t had in years.

At 5’10”, 169 pounds, Hardman will need to put on some weight to have the necessary physicality needed to play early in the SEC. However should the Dawgs gain his commitment, they would have themselves a solid wide receiver class, alongside early enrollee Riley Ridley, the young brother of Alabama’s Calvin Ridley.

Hardman is an overwhelming favorite to sign with the Georgia Bulldogs, as 24/7 Sports believes that UGA has a 78% chance of landing him. The two other teams that could end up signing Mecole Hardman, Jr. are the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Volunteers. Hardman has a good relationship with Alabama wide receivers coach Billy Napier and former UGA defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, now with Alabama. Butch Jones is one of the best recruiters in the SEC at Tennessee.
