The Atlanta Falcons will have to do these five things to hopefully jumpstart a Super Bowl run next season, as Super Bowl LI will be in Houston, Texas.

With Super Bowl 50 in the books, we can now turn the page to the 2016 NFL season and think about what it will take for our Atlanta Falcons to get to Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

After an 8-8 2015 campaign, the Atlanta Falcons finished with the seventh best record in the NFC, just good enough to miss the NFC Playoffs for the third straight season. While going from 8-8 to the Super Bowl seems a bit farfetched, the Carolina Panthers went 7-8-1 in 2014 and played in Super Bowl 50 with a 15-1 regular season record.

The amount of parity in the NFL gives many teams hope that next year is truly the year it all goes right for that team. If Atlanta improves two more games in the win column, that would put the Falcons at 10-6 in 2016 and probably in line to make the NFC Playoffs as either a Wild Card team or a Division winner. From there, anything can happen in the NFC Playoffs.

However, for the 2016 Atlanta Falcons to play in Super Bowl LI in Houston, they will need to learn from last year’s mistakes while simultaneously build on the good parts of last season. Here are five keys for the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 should they want to orchestrate a Super Bowl LI run.
