Carolina Panthers. Roman Harper. 41. player. 87. . Strong Safety

While the Atlanta Falcons already cut a younger player in William Moore this offseason, they may have some interest in poaching a piece from the NFC South rival Carolina Panthers to help bolster their secondary in two-time former Pro Bowler strong safety Roman Harper.

Harper has played his entire 10-year NFL career with the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. He has played in two Super Bowls, winning it all with the Saints in 2009 and winning the NFC with the Panthers last season.

Though Harper is in the twilight of his NFL career at 33 years of age, he’s still a reliable starter a top-notch defense can rely on. Harper has played in 140 regular NFL games and started in 136 of them over his 10-year NFL career.

Harper has also made the NFC Playoffs six times as a professional, playing in 13 postseason games while starting in 12 of them. Since the Atlanta Falcons have not made the NFC Playoffs in three seasons and could always use great veteran leadership in the locker room, they may see if Harper wants to play a few more years in the NFC South as a member of the Atlanta Falcons this offseason.
