36. . Right Guard. Seattle Seahawks. J.R. Sweezy. 64. player

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn knows all about J.R Sweezy from their time together with the Seattle Seahawks. Sweezy converted from tight end to guard to play at the next level after his career at North Carolina State came to an end after the 2011 season.

Sweezy went from a seventh round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft to a starting interior lineman on two NFC Championship teams, winning the Super Bowl over the Denver Broncos two years ago. At 6’5″, 296 pounds, Sweezy has both the size and the speed to thrive in Kyle Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme at right guard.

Since becoming a full-time starter in the 2013 NFL season, J.R. Sweezy has started at right guard for the Seattle Seahawks in at least 15 games each year. He played in 59 games, starting in 49 for Seattle in his first four years in the NFL.

While Quinn did most of his poaching from the Seattle Seahawks on the defensive side of the ball in 2015, don’t think for a second that he wouldn’t look going after players on the offensive side of the ball in 2016.

Seattle is best known for its defensive prowess under head coach Pete Carroll, but J.R. Sweezy could very well end up in Atlanta by the end of the 2016 free agency period. He seems like a strong scheme and cultural fit for the Atlanta Falcons.
