There could not be another team in the country that is hotter on the recruiting trail than the Georgia Bulldogs. After having Latavious Brini commit on Sunday, now UGA gets a big time commit in the form of five-star Robert Beal from Norcross.

Beal, who will play his senior season at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is the number one defensive end in the class of 2017, according to ESPN’s recruiting rankings. He is also the number five overall recruit in the country. Beal is loaded with talent and will see the field early in Athens. With Beal’s commitment, the Georgia Bulldogs have one of the best players at their position.

Beal committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on Tuesday via an exclusive video with Bleacher Report. Beal will bring a lot of different skills to the Bulldogs defense when he arrives in 2017. He has the ability to rush the passer and attack the ball carrier. What separates Beal from other linemen is his sideline to sideline speed. That’s what makes Beal special.

Relentless Motor

To go along with Beal’s impressive speed is his non-stop motor. During games, Beal is often seen chasing down the ball carrier from behind or making a sack in the backfield. Having a relentless motor is something that can not be taught. With his motor, Beal will be a difference-maker on the edge for the Georgia Bulldogs.

More from Georgia Bulldogs

Although Beal is listed as a defensive end, his future for the Georgia Bulldogs will be outside linebacker. With him standing up, it will help Beal become faster and have a greater impact on defense. Outside linebackers coach, Kevin Sherrer will also help Beal turn into a menace on the edge for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Next Lorenzo Carter

The similarities are almost too many to list. When Beal was a freshman at Norcross, there was someone in front of him on the depth chart. That someone was none other than current UGA starting outside linebacker, Lorenzo Carter. Carter was one of the top players in the state of Georgia.

At 6’4 and around 220 pounds, Beal has similar size to Carter and uses his length to out work offensive tackles. If Beal has the opportunity to play along side his high school teammate in 2017, they will both wreak havoc in the backfield between the hedges.

Instant Impact

Beal was one of those recruits who Kirby Smart was not going to let get away and go out of state. Even though Beal is playing his last season of high school in Florida, it will help him prepare for Saturdays in Athens.

Going up against some of the most talented players in the state of Florida, will give Beal the opportunity to see where he stacks up. If he has a dominant year at IMG, Beal will continue to be looked upon as one of the best players in the nation. Luckily for UGA fans, he wants to bring a championship back to Athens.
