The Atlanta Falcons star receiver Julio Jones gave everyone a scare on day one of the 2016 XFINITY Training Camp when he “had a little tweak,” causing him to leave practice early. Thankfully, Jones is expected to be fine and return quickly.

Atlanta Falcons fans weren’t given much of an explanation on Thursday when news broke that wide receiver Julio Jones sustained an injury that caused him to leave the first day of practice early. In fact, Falcons head coach Dan Quinn simply referred to it as a “tweak.”

A “tweak.”  So…what exactly does a “tweak” entail? Luckily, according to reports; nothing too serious. Jones apparently asked to return to practice later in the day, but it was Coach Quinn who wanted to play it safe. Quinn also wasn’t available to speak to the media immediately after practice, which didn’t help to clear up any uncertainty about the unspecified “tweak.”

Fortunately, Jones is expected to return to the Atlanta Falcons training camp quickly. A recent update from the AJC indicates that he could be back as early as tomorrow, though it had been previously reported that he would return by Friday at the latest.

VIA Thomas Stinson of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

"Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones was pulled out of the closing portion of Thursday’s first training-camp practice because of an unspecified “tweak,” according to coach Dan Quinn.“We just held him out,” Quinn said. “He had a little tweak, so we decided to hold him out. He’ll likely be back tomorrow. He could have come back in today and was asking me to. But I decided not.”Quinn declined to provide any further information, but the receiver could be seen playing catch while the team continued its workout."

Jones is no stranger to injuries. His most recent came in 2014 when he injured his groin in Game 14 against the Green Bay Packers, but he has also suffered from other leg and foot injuries over the course of his five years with the Atlanta Falcons. Though luckily this injury appears to have been very minor, simply hearing the word “tweak” concerning a vital player like Jones is more than enough to trigger panic.
