The Atlanta Braves Bullpen will be headed into 2017 better than many expected but there are still a few moves the Braves can make to shore up their bullpen a bit without breaking the bank.

The first will be locking up a closer they can count on. Jim Johnson and Jason Grilli have done admirable jobs over the past few seasons but their betters seasons are behind them and it is time for the Braves to have a closer they have lacked since Craig Kimbrel left.

Adding Jansen would instantly make the Braves bullpen more balanced and stabilize the late innings that have given the Braves fits at times this season. The problem for the Braves will be Jansen’s price. He is the 2nd best closer on the market and will demand a price that the Braves could have a hard time paying.

It is doubtful that Aroldis Chapman is an option for the Braves for the same reason as well as the fact that the Braves will want to avoid any troubled athletes after the Hector Olivera debacle. Kenley Jansen is a commodity that this team needs and he has made it known he is willing to move on from the Dodgers.
