  1. Alex Mack

Signing Alex Mack was one of if not the best off-season free agent signing of the off-season. Signing a center is not the sexy move of the spring because Mack isn’t the guy who will make one handed touchdown catches or an electric shutdown corner.

Alex Mack is the guy who has brought stability to the Falcon’s offensive line and shown just how good the Falcon’s offense is when Matt Ryan is protected and they can run the ball. While an offensive line is obviously five guys not just Mack, Mack should be receiving a lot more credit for how much better the Falcon’s offensive line has been since they added Alex Mack.

The issues with snapping the ball for the Falcons have disappeared their inability to give Matt Ryan protection consistently has disappeared as well.  The difference has been Alex Mack. He brings a unique ability to get out on the second level and block a linebacker or to sit back and maintain a clean pocket for Matt Ryan to pick apart the secondary. Signing Alex Mack is one of the most under rated moves of the off-season and aside from Matt Ryan’s MVP performance is the biggest difference on this year’s Falcons team.
