Are the Atlanta Braves done making moves?

The Atlanta Braves have reportedly been interested in almost all of this year’s big trade market names but are yet to pull the trigger on a deal. Should fans expect the Braves to make another move before the season starts?

Whether it was trading Craig Kimbrel a day before the season began or making blockbuster deals that moved fan favorites the Braves haven’t been shy about making moves. Despite their recent history the Braves have made it known that they are happy with their current team and would be fine entering the season with their current roster.

While there may be a bit of truth in this, the fact that the Braves’ name keeps coming up in trade rumors shows that they are posturing just a bit. Atlanta is continuing to explore trade possibilities for names like Brian Dozier, Todd Frazier, and Chris Archer. While it is doubtful that any trades come through with any of those names it is entirely possible that the Braves make several more big moves before the 2017 season begins.

The Atlanta front office is putting together an impressive re-build that has the Braves system re-built and headed back in the right direction. Despite the fact that they seem happy and have stated they are fine entering the season with the current roster you can bet on the fact that Atlanta is not done making moves.

Atlanta’s front office has done a great job posturing both to other GM’s and to their fans, while it may offend some fans it is important to remember that the team is a business and a business that is being run shrewdly by the Atlanta front office. The Braves are not done making moves this off-season and could make more than one big move as they head into the new stadium and attempt to compete in 2017.
