The Atlanta Falcons are set to host a Seattle Seahawks team that beat the Falcons on a missed call earlier this season.

The Atlanta Falcons are set to host a playoff game in the dome Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks. The Falcons played the Hawks earlier this season in Seattle falling 26-24 late on a missed pass interference call on Richard Sherman.

On the play Sherman had Julio Jones’ arm pinned behind his back and the ball went off of Jones to end the game. The play was obvious pass interference and would have continued a drive that very well could have won the game for the Falcons in the toughest place to play in the NFL. Seattle will not have the advantage of their home stadium or officiating this time around as they head to the Dome.

It is also fair to note that on a drive that would have ended the game earlier Matt Ryan had the ball bounce off of Julio Jones and into a defenders arms, so while the unfair call may have ended the game there were mistakes made to put the officials into position to decide the game at all.

The good news for the Falcons is that they know they can score against the Seahawks in Seattle, bring the Hawks to Atlanta to face an improved Falcon’s team that will be ready to settle the score against the Seahawks. The early matchup to watch is Julio Jones who will assumedly be followed by Richard Sherman throughout most of the game. If the Falcons can take advantage of the Sherman like they did in Seattle more than once it will be a long day for the Seahawks secondary that has struggled to stay healthy this season.

Another big question for the Falcons will be how will their defense perform against an underwhelming Seahawk’s offensive attack?  The Seahawks offense is not capable of keeping up against the Falcon’s high flying offense if the Hawk’s defense cannot slow them down.

Saturday’s game will kick off in Atlanta at 4:35 EST on FOX.
