The Atlanta Falcons are getting ready for a playoff repeat that they played against the Seahawks the last time they were in the playoffs.

The Atlanta Falcons have their work cut out for them this weekend as they did in 2012 against a tough Seahawk’s team in the divisional round. If you are wanting to watch the full game you are in luck Youtube uploaded the matchup prior to this weekend’s game you can watch it in full for free by clicking here.

A lot has changed since the last time these two teams met up including the Falcon’s defensive and offensive lines improving drastically. One of the biggest changes for the Falcons is the overhaul that their receiving core has undergone including moving on from long-time Atlanta veteran Roddy White.

If you were a Roddy White fan you remember what happens in this game. Richard Sherman and Roddy White have a long standing feud that is not surprising from two of the biggest talkers in football at the time. Mid-way through the second quarter White gets the better of Sherman catching a deep touchdown while being guarded by Sherman and after scoring takes the ball straight to Sherman.

If one play and moment properly summed up Roddy White as a playmaker and receiver the touchdown catch in the divisional round against Sherman would suffice. The game is a good reminder of the Seahawk’s resilience in the playoffs as well and shows the importance of the Falcons keeping their foot on the gas early against the Hawks.

Another key takeaway from this game is the importance of finishing the drive and not settling for field goals. If the Falcons could have finished two drives early in this game they would have separated themselves and prevented the comeback that the Seahawks mounted late in the second half.

The Atlanta Falcons are set for a re-match that could well be considered a grudge match after the calls that the Hawks got away with earlier this season when they played the Falcons. The divisional round game will kick off on FOX at 4:35 EST.
