Freddie Freeman is MVP caliber this season.

When this season officially gets underway, the entire roster is going to be looking to someone who is capable of leading them in a positive direction. Look no further than Freddie Freeman who last season had his greatest in Atlanta batting .302, and hitting 32 HR’s in 158 games. If this young Braves team wants to make any noise in the National League, Freeman is going to not only have to top his 2016 campaign, but be a voice for the rest of the locker room.

Freeman will benefit from having a legitimate cleanup hitter behind him for the first time in quite a while. Having Matt Kemp hit behind him in the order could make a huge difference for Freeman over the course of a full year.

Freeman is the unquestioned face of the Braves franchise and will be looked at to set the tone offensively and help lead a young core of up and coming talent on the Braves roster. While he may not win the MVP having an MVP caliber season is what it will take to help the Braves become surprise contenders in the National League East this season.
