Welcome to the show Dansby Swanson.

In arguably one of major league baseballs greatest trade robberies, the Braves were able to bring hometown native Dansby Swanson back to Peachtree City.

Now it’s time to see what the kid can do. In just 38 games last season, Swanson was able to not only solve the issues at shortstop, but he also hit .302 at the plate with 17 RBI’s.

Swanson is the future of the Atlanta Braves organization, but with Swanson playing as well as he did to end the 2016 season you could argue that the future is now. While it is important not to let expectations soar too high for a young player like Swanson it is also fair to be excited.

The Braves haven’t had a young talented player that baseball fans collectively were this optimistic about in a number of years. Swanson is a talented hitter who is expected to hit second in the Braves lineup. If the Braves are to become surprise contenders then they will need to have a great season from Dansby Swanson.

On the flip side if Swanson struggles to adjust to Major League pitching it would be tough for the Braves to compete without Swanson’s help.
