Atlanta Falcons: Should They Resign These Key Free Agents?
By Kit Anderson
Jacob Tamme- Fans seem to want to bring Tamme back based on the flashes he has shown when he is healthy. There is no denying that Matt Ryan and Tamme always seem to be on the same page but that can be said of almost any talented pass catcher that Ryan has worked with over the last year.
If you can’t stay healthy and be a top pass catcher you shouldn’t be paid as a top pass catching tight-end. It is time to let Tamme go elsewhere and focus on acquiring a receiving tight end who can compliment Austin Hooper and help the young tight end continue to develop.
Chris Chester- Chester is a hard free agent to predict because of his age and the high priced talent that would start around him. Adding another elite offensive lineman would seem out of the question without freeing up some cap space.
With that in mind bringing back Chester for a reasonable price would be the obvious move and one that the Falcons should opt to make.
